Gippy Grewal's new film Ardaas

It is a Humble Motion Picture Presentation; Music by Jatinder Shah and the Music will be released via Speed Records.

An actor, a singer and now making his directorial debut with the much awaited Punjabi movie Ardaas, Gippy Grewal is sure to startle one and all! In Punjab, where life in rural households is in a state of disarray, Ardaas will provide a positive outlook to those who are downhearted by their day to day problems. By the end of the movie, there shall be smiles of hope and confidence on the faces of those who at the back of their minds are still worried about their next meal or the birth of a girl child.

Just as Rajesh Khanna was a sigh of relief for the Sharma family in 1972 film Bawarchi, Gippy Grewal's Ardaas will also provide comfort to many aching souls. An amalgamation of various short yet true stories, Ardaas shows the true face of life in the darker dungeons of rural Punjabi households. With Gurpreet Ghuggi playing a very strong character in the film, this one will surely be a game changer for many artists who till now have only been seen in a comic role.

The trailer for Ardaas and we are sure that Gippy's debut directorial will bring about a positive change in the way films are made in the Punjabi industry as he's of the firm belief that films must entertain but also leave something behind with the audience. Ardaas is produced by Humble Motion pictures which comprises of Gippy and his brother Pushpinder Happy along with Aditya Singh. The music of the film has been done by Jatinder Shah and it will be released under Speed Records. Mandy Takhar who is generally characterized as a fashionable upmarket girl in most of her films will be seen in an entirely unique portrayal in this one. She will be seen donning the look of a rural Punjabi woman who is married to the son of an army officer. Her character has a lot of emotional variations throughout the film.

Established names in the industry such as Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Kanwar Grewal have sung for this movie. Ammy Virk also has 2 songs in his voice. Overall Ardaas will be a treat for people who have an ear for good music. The latest singing sensation, Zora Randhawa of 22Da fame, is making his debut with Ardaas. He will be seen as an oppugner in the film. As a first timer Zora just doesn’t fail to impress and he also fits in the character very aptly. Kudos to the casting team for this one!
